A commentary on social media and the attention economy. This project features a compilation of internet memes and strobing lights set to "Von dutch" by Charli xcx.

I developed this project with KC Yeneza. We used MadMapper for the projected video and MAX/MSP for the lights. We also used Premiere Pro to edit and format the memes.
The goal of the piece was to bring attention to how the internet has created unhealthy desires to become famous and how becoming an "influencer" fosters a desperate competition for attention. The constant flow of new content is overwhelming, which the audience is meant to feel when watching this.
